Antiques to be appraised at Youngstown’s Steel Museum

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor is sponsoring an Antiques Appraisal Show 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Much like the “Antiques Roadshow” television program, but without the cameras, the event will allow patrons to find out what their items are worth, satisfying curiosity and allowing for proper insurance valuations. There will be several appraisers available for consultation. Appraisers donating their time for the event are: former YSU History chair Hugh Earnhart, Diane and Chris Klingemier, Michael Fluegar, Georgio Theofilus, Steve Graben and Ken Lane.

The cost of admission is $5 and for an additional $1, patrons may also visit the museum’s permanent exhibitions. Reservations are required only if bringing furniture to be appraised.

The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor, also known as the Steel Museum, is located at 151 W. Wood St., Youngstown. For more information, call 330-941-1314.
