Friday: The Hartford native qualified 33rd for Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tenn. Blaney was clocked at 125.848 mph.

Season to date: Blaney is in 28th place in the Sprint Cup driver standings after finishing 24th in last week’s Kobalt Tools 400.

This weekend: The Nationwide Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 300 is at 2 p.m. today (ESPN2). The Food City 500 is at 1 p.m. on Sunday (FOX).
