Phantom Fun

St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary School, along with other area schools, attended a Phantoms hockey game late last month at the Covelli Centre.
Students were able to watch the fast-paced action of a hockey game as well as learn the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle. During the game, video clips were shown promoting exercise and healthy eating.
It was a special day for Cadence Pounds and Isabella Herner as they celebrated their birthday at the hockey rink. Cadence was announced with the Phantoms starting lineup. Isabella shared her celebration with fellow schoolmate Dante Walker, giving him her ride on the Zamboni between the first and second periods of the hockey game. When asked how the ride was, Dante said, “That was awesome!”
Fourth-grader Patrick Faloon represented SJIHM in the race of cars between the first and second periods. Each school had a student drive a minature car, labeled with their school’s name, on the ice and race around the rink. Some students’ cars, including Patrick’s, needed some power from Phantoms cheerleaders.
