Central YMCA to host 34th annual Good Friday breakfast

The Rev. Peg Welch, co-pastor of Boardman United Methodist Church, will be featured speaker at the 34th annual Good Friday breakfast at the Central YMCA, corner of Commerce and Champion streets downtown.
Soloist Carol Ann Smolka will present a musical segment.
The March 29 event will include a gourmet breakfast buffet prepared by Jorgine’s Deli and served at 7:15 a.m. The service will begin at 8 a.m. in the community gym and conclude at 8:45.
Individual tickets at $12 and reservations for tables of eight at $85 may be purchased by contacting Patty Tchoryk at 330-742-4781. More information is available at www.YoungstownYMCA.org.
“Last year, nearly 500 people joined together on Good Friday in fellowship and prayer at the Central YMCA,” said Tim Hilk. “For a Christian organization like the Y, nothing is more powerful.”
The Y mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
