Ed Asner released from hospital
LOS ANGELES
Ed Asner’s publicist says the 83-year-old actor is out of a Chicago-area hospital after being diagnosed with exhaustion.
Publicist Charles Sherman says Asner was released Thursday and plans to fly home to LA.
He likely will postpone some performances of his touring one-man stage show.
On Tuesday night, Asner was taken off the stage in Gary, Ind., and went by ambulance to a hospital.
Asner just filmed several episodes of the TV series “The Glades” in Florida. He’s been on a national tour portraying President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the play “FDR” for more than three years.
Asner is best known for his roles in TV’s “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and its spinoff, “Lou Grant.”
Former Iron Maiden drummer dies at 56
LONDON
Clive Burr, former drummer with heavy- metal icons Iron Maiden, has died. He was 56 and had been suffering from multiple sclerosis.
The band says on its official website that Burr died in his sleep in his London home Tuesday.
Band founder and bass player Steve Harris said Burr “was a wonderful person and an amazing drummer who made a valuable contribution to Maiden in the early days when we were starting out.”
Born in London in 1957, Burr joined Iron Maiden in 1979 and played on the band’s first three albums — “Iron Maiden,” “Killers” and “The Number of the Beast.” He left in 1982, before Iron Maiden became 1980s megastars.
Bieber rants over ‘lies’

Justin Bieber has taken to Instagram to unload frustration over what he says are the “countless lies” being circulated about him.
In a passionate post Thursday, Bieber wrote that he’s “tired of all the countless lies in the press right now,” denying rumors that he’s going to rehab. Bieber railed against those he perceives as against him, writing that “I’m 19 and it must be scary to some people to think that this is just the beginning.”
Bieber recently collapsed backstage during a London concert, tousled with paparazzi and canceled a performance in Portugal.
Future dad Buble not worried about sales

Michael Buble has sold millions of albums, but as he readies the release of his newest project, he’s less concerned with his sales, thanks to his wife’s pregnancy.
“I’m nervous and excited, and I think it’s given me great perspective,” the singer said at the shoot for his new single, “It’s a Beautiful Day.” Buble married Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato in 2011. They said in January they’re expecting their first child.
