Boardman area Easter events


Boardman: Resurrection Celebration from 2 to 3:30 p.m. March 23 at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive. For children through grade 6. Video, snacks and crafts followed by a visit from the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg hunt.

Boardman: Easter Egg and Goodie Bag Hunt March 23 at Boardman Park. For children 8 years old and under. Bring your baskets. Dress for the weather. 10 a.m. for ages 2 and under at the Bocce Court; 10:15 a.m. ages 3-4 at Master’s Pavilion; 10:30 a.m. ages 5-8 at the baseball field. Free admission.

Boardman: Dinner with the Easter Bunny, 5:30 p.m. March 27-28 at the Lariccia Family Community Center. Tickets may be purchased at the park office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets are $6 for Boardman residents and $7 for nonresidents. Under 18 months is free. Includes dinner, arts and crafts and family photo with the bunny.

Canfield: Giant Egg Drop, 10 a.m. to noon March 23, Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main Street. Make egg packages and walk the bunny trail to scavenger for eggs; 330-533-5509.

Poland: Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. March 23 at Poland Town Hall Gazebo. Sponsored by Poland Junior Women’s Club. For children through grade 4.Austintown: Bounce with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Austintown Bounce, 4317 Kird Road. Cost $7 and includes unlimited play, a hot dog, a fountain drink, games, prizes and a visit with the Easter Bunny. Bring cameras for photos; 330-793-JUMP or info@austintownbounce.com

Austintown: Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2305 S. Canfield-Niles Road, will host an event including an egg hunt at 1 p.m. March 23 for toddlers through elementary ages. It will take place rain or shine.

Youngstown: Easter Extravaganza at 11:30 a.m. March 23, at Wick Recreation Area, 1861 McCollum Road. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance. For children age 2-10. Arrive early to find your child’s age group before the start. Rain or shine.

Youngstown: Easter egg decorating workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. March 21, Youngstown State University’s President Suite in Kilcawley Center. Learn Pisanki, a very old art of egg painting, where hot wax is drawn on an egg to create intricate patterns, the egg is then dyed wonderfully vibrant colors. All materials provided.
