Golf meeting for players, parents
A required meeting for all athletes trying out for 2013 golf teams, and their parents, will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
Requirements and criteria for golf team selection is part of the agenda. Fundraising activities will also be discussed. Call Coach Santor at 330-261-2217.
Mixed doubles bowling tournament May 17-25
The 48th annual Youngstown Mixed Doubles bowling tournament will run May 17-25 at Holiday Bowl. The USBC-sanctioned event is sponsored by the Youngstown Bowling Association. First place will pay $400 and $200 to the runnerup. The per-couple entry fee is $24. For more, contact Holiday at (330) 755-1444.
Women’s senior event at Amron, April 6-7
The 21st Ladies Senior Singles tournament of the Youngstown-Salem Women’s Bowling Association will be at Amron Lanes, April 6-7.
Sessions are scheduled both days at 2 p.m. and also at 11 a.m. on April 7. Cost is $17 per person for the five-division event for those 55 and over.

Jon Bullock main event winner on boxing card
Jon Bullock of the Downtown Boxing Club registered a decision over Daywaun Roseberry of Cleveland in the main event of Saturday’s amateur boxing card to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Bullock-Roseberry bout culminated the Lights Out Productions show at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center that raised more than $4,000 for the foundation.
