Nominations sought for historic preservation honors

The Historic Preservation Committee of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society is seeking nominations for its eighth annual Historic Preservation Awards program.

The awards honor those in the Valley who take an active role in preserving historic buildings, sites and districts.

Historic preservation projects in Trumbull and Mahoning counties are eligible for recognition in various categories. Winners will be announced during Historic Preservation Month in May and recognized by the members of the MVHS at the group’s annual meeting in June.

A brochure containing all awards-program criteria and an application form is available at mahoninghistory.org or by mail. Call 330-743-2589, or e-mail mvhs@mahoninghistory.org for additional information. Completed nominations are due by April 5.
