Police investigating shooting on city's East Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating a shooting on the East Side in which a man was wounded.

Reports said the shooting occurred on Lansdowne Boulevard shortly after 9:15 p.m. near a supermarket there. Police were informed a man was shot in his car. The shooter was identified as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

An ambulance was sent to the scene. No word was available on his condition.
