Youngstown man dies in Ravenna Twp. crash

RAVENNA — A Youngstown man is dead after a two-car crash in Ravenna Township this morning.

Lawrence Santangelo, 52, was taken to Robinson Memorial Hospital shortly before 7 a.m. where he was pronounced dead after his 1997 Pontiac Sunfire collided with a Ford Explorer driven by a 21-year-old Mantua man.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Santangelo was traveling on state Route 14 when the truck driven by Anthony Rodriguez crossed into oncoming traffic and hit Santangelo’s car.

There is no word on Rodriguez’s condition.
