World Vision volunteers to host dinner

HERMITAGE, PA.

World Vision volunteers are hosting the 2013 Saving Lives Charity Dinner from 7 to 10 p.m. March 23 at Avalon Country Club at Buhl Park, 1030 Forker Blvd.

The guest speaker will be Kevin Ryan, who is from the local World Vision branch in Sewickley, Pa.

Tickets are $30 per person and will be sold only in advance. They include red carpet photos, a buffet dinner, music by Matt Killa, dancing, a basket auction, silent auction and 50-50 raffle. There also will be a cash bar and chances to win prizes and cash.

Event coordinators Jeff and Vickie Hando are being assisted by volunteers Alan and Marlene DeCristoforo, Danielle Greene-Benic, Keri O’Brien, Jennifer Phillips and Jeanine Richards. Teens from Hickory High School Students for Charity also will help.

Monetary donations and items for the silent auction and raffle items will be accepted.
