The Canfield Township housing market has seen an upturn with new planned communities and residential housing. As a result, permit fees are up considerably from last year.

2013: Four houses, one four-plex development. Valuation: $1,830,235. Permit fees: $11,248.

2012: Two houses. Valuation: $1,140,000. Permit fees: $6,776
