Book explores Ohio Valley steel mills

“Testament: An Exploration of Steubenville & Weirton Steel,” by Michael V. Jones, and published in December 2012, is an exploration of the steel mills chosen from pictures taken during the author’s numerous trips to the Ohio Valley.

The author says it pays homage to the mills and the men who worked in them, and is a final melancholic farewell to these amazing structures. These two locations were once the heart of the region.

The book is 40 pages and includes 47 photos in color and black and white.

Jones, of Canton, was born and reared in Youngstown.

He is a graduate of Youngstown State University and is an urban explorer, road tripper and Cleveland sports fan.
