Shale forum in Boardman

An oil and gas forum will take place from noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave. Business leaders, Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber members, local government officials, as well as representatives from economic development organizations, colleges and universities and oil and gas companies are welcome to attend.

The purpose of the forum is to bring together business, labor and community leaders to discuss opportunities and challenges from shale development and ways to ensure a long-term sustainability of economic progress in the region and state.

The event is being sponsored by the regional chamber, Ohio Energy Resource Alliance, the Ohio Shale Coalition and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
