Staff report
MERCER, Pa.
A Pymatuning Township police officer has been cleared in the wounding of Jessi Hudson, 22, of Elliot Lane, Youngstown, on Feb. 6 during a home invasion at a house on Route 18 in the township.
The Mercer County District Attorney’s office issued a release saying the actions of officer Michael Brown “were fully and completely justified under the laws of this commonwealth, and he committed no criminal offense,” according to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV.
Hudson was jailed on $300,000 bond after he was released from the hospital. He faces nine charges, including assault, burglary and making terroristic threats.
Brown said he wounded Hudson during a standoff that also involved Hudson shooting a woman in the home.
The woman survived.
Hudson had barricaded himself inside, police said, and he later was appre- hended by the county’s critical-response team.
