Area schools to compete in robotics event at YSU

Student teams representing high schools and middle schools from across the region will compete at the 15th annual Northeast Ohio Robotics Education Program Competition, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday on the Youngstown State University campus.
YSU’s Office of Associate Degree and Tech Prep Programs will host the event at the Beeghly Health and Physical Education Center.
Floor games, in which the students will demonstrate their robots in action, will start at 9:30 a.m.
The event is free.
These teams have registered to compete in the Richard T. Rupe Middle School Division: Boardman Center Middle School, Boardman Glenwood Middle School, Boy Scout Troop 2, Chaney STEM School teams 1 and 2 and Poland Middle School.
Teams registered in the high- school division are: Lakeland Tech Prep teams 1, 2 and 3, Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, Mentor High School teams 1 and 2, Six District Engineering Academy @ Theodore Roosevelt and Trumbull Career and Technical Center teams 1 and 2.
