Visit These Local Lenten Fish Fries

List of fish fries taking place today, Friday, March 8, as submitted to The Vindicator.

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve all-you-can-eat fried fish, chicken or shrimp meals from 3 to 7 p.m. Each meal is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and free for those 3 and under. Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, will host a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the fellowship hall in the lodge. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Carryout is available; call 330-533-3077.

Austintown Eagle’s Banquet Center, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, will be the location of a fish fry and Lenten buffet from 4 to 8 p.m. The buffet costs $10.95; dinners are $7.95 to $9.95. Call ahead for parties of 8 or more at 330-559-2535.

Austintown Robotics Boosters is sponsoring a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, corner of Kirk Road and Route 46. Cost is $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens and $4 for children 6 and under.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. Cost is $10.

Girard Knights of Columbus will feature fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the hall, 122 S. State St. Cost is $7.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12, and free for kids 3 and under. Children’s menu is macaroni and cheese. Carryout is available; call 330-545-3082 or 330-530-3555.

Holy Family Church, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will have a carryout fish fry from 3 to 7 p.m. Fried haddock is $6, haluski or macaroni and cheese is $2, coleslaw is $1 and shrimp is $3 for five pieces.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Takeouts orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road SE, will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. For information call 330-856-3628.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult meals cost $10, and children’s are $5.

Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, 6225 Quarry Road, will have a carryout fish fry from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $15. Lunch special is $8 from 11:30 to 1:30.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will have a fish dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Tickets are $8 for adults in advance or $8.75 at the door.
