Senate moves toward CIA nominee vote

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate is moving toward a vote on President Barack Obama's nominee for CIA director after a White House concession.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid set a test vote for later today. His announcement came shortly after Attorney General Eric Holder said there are limits on a president's ability to order drone strikes on American soil against suspected terrorists who are U.S. citizens.

The developments came just hours after Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul waged a nearly 13-hour filibuster over the nomination of John Brennan.

Paul said early today he was abandoning his filibuster.
