Police make second arrest in Sunday chase on East Side
YOUNGSTOWN — Police and the Northern Ohio Violent Crimes Task Force arrested a second man reportedly involved with a robbery and police chase on the East Side.
Brandon Jackson, 29, of Youngstown faces charges of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and illegal possession of a weapon. Police Chief Rod Foley said Jackson is believed to have been with Sergio F. Gonzalez Jr. during a Sunday incident involving robbery, gunfire and the chase.
The arrest warrants issued for Jackson say he had a silver handgun and an assault rifle. He is believed to have fired the handgun from the car, then fired the assault rifle while chasing another car just before he and Gonzalez began running from police.
