Settlement reached in dispute between Kinsman restaurant, Ohio EPA

KINSMAN — A settlement between the owners of the Times Square Restaurant in Kinsman and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency over fines involving a septic system has been reached.

An attorney for the owners said completion of the settlement is most likely just a few weeks away.

“They are pleased with the total of the settlement,” Atty. Stephen Haughey of Cincinnati said of owners Richard Thompson of Warren and Kenny and Carol Wilson of Gustavus.

Haughey wouldn’t say how much the owners have to pay but said it is much less than the $70,000 the EPA recently demanded.
