Gourmet cookie shop opening at Erie Terminal Place

YOUNGSTOWN — A gourmet cookie shop is expected to open later this month on the ground floor of Erie Terminal Place, a downtown apartment complex.

The city’s Design Review Committee approved exterior signs today for One Hot Cookie, which is to open on the North Phelps Street corner of Erie Terminal at 112 W. Commerce St.

There is room for three other businesses on the ground floor of the building, said Mark Taylor, chief financial officer for the NYO Property Group LLC, a company that handles property acquisition and development for Dominic Marchionda and Pan Brothers Associates, which own several downtown Youngstown properties.

There are two residential vacancies at the 40-rental-unit Erie Terminal, Taylor said.
