Frankie Valens will perform at fundraiser

AUSTINTOWN
Frankie Valens, whose pop music career flourished in the 1960s, will come to Austintown on April 5 and 6 to help raise money for the Ohio Parkinson’s Association.
Valens will perform in concert with special guests Russ Nottingham, Men in Black quartet and Debbie Dorman at 6 p.m. April 6 at Highway Tabernacle Church, 3000 S. Raccoon Road.
Admission is free, but an offering will be collected.
A dinner/auction with Valens will begin at 6 p.m. at Highway Tabernacle. April 5.
Tickets are $20 per person.
Signed music and sports memorabilia will be for sale.
An educational symposium will begin at 9 a.m. April 6 at Highway Tabernacle.
Doctors from the Ohio State University Medical Center will address the latest in Parkinson’s disease research and treatment.
The event includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Admission is free.
All proceeds will benefit Parkinson’s disease research.
