OSHP troopers seize cocaine in Preble County
DAYTON, Ohio — An Illinois woman faces felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized nine ounces of cocaine, worth nearly $22,000, after a traffic stop in Preble County.
Troopers stopped a 2002 GMC Envoy, with Illinois registration, for an unsafe lane change and following too closely violations on Interstate 70 eastbound at 1:27 p.m. Thursday. Criminal indicators were observed. A consent search of the vehicle was granted and revealed nine ounces of cocaine concealed inside a fast-food bag.
The driver, Elsa Robles Alejandra Verduzco, 26, of Chicago, was placed in Preble County Jail, and charged with possession of cocaine, a first-degree felony.
