BGMS wins tournament

Boardman Glenwood’s seventh-grade boys basketball team defeated Barberton on Feb. 16 to win the Akron Garfield Tournament. Holden Lipke led the Spartans with 19 points. Billy Cammack and Jarod Wilson added nine and seven points, respectively. Brian Terlesky and Noah Falleti each had five points. Glenwood finished the season with a 12-4 record.

Boardman HOF names being accepted

Nominations for induction into the 2013 class of the Boardman High School Athletic Hall of Fame are being accepted. Names for the HOF, sponsored by the Boardman Booster Club, may be submitted to the school’s athletic office at 7777 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, OH 44512. Inductees must have graduated from BHS at least 15 years ago or have made a lasting impact on the athletic program as a coach, booster or contributor — include details of accomplishments.
