Chili cook-off set for March 9
Austintown Little Falcons’ first Chili Cook-off Fundraiser is set for March 9 from 2 to 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Austintown. The cost is $5 for adults. Kids under 14 eat free. The cost includes pizza, snacks, soft drinks and chili tasting. The cost to enter the cook-off contest is $20. First, second and third-place prizes will be awarded.

Subway of Niles to sponsor season
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers announced that the 2013 season — their 15th — will be presented by Subway of Niles.

Tressel to speak at Curbstone HOF banquet
Jim Tressel, former YSU and Ohio State University football coach, will serve as guest speaker at the Curbstone Coaches Hall of Fame Banquet on May 5.
There will be 13 inductees at the event held at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center.
