SENIOR CITIZENS

Cornersburg Happy Seniors will not meet Thursday because of the Fourth of July holiday. The next meeting will be at 11:15 a.m. Aug. 1 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield with Betsy Koneval presiding. Entertainment will be provided by Pat Diamond and Michael Hill. This is a group of seniors from the Austintown/Boardman/Canfield/Youngstown area who meet the first Thursday of each month for lunch and a program. Retired men, women and couples, 55 years or older, who would like to socialize for a few hours are invited to reserve lunch by calling Koneval at 330-793-7755. The cost is $11. Visitors are welcome. If you choose to become a member, the annual dues are $5.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will not meet Friday. The next meeting will be the annual picnic Aug. 2. Lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi, Gianna’s Catering. Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio, District 2, Chapter 10, will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Elton Beard Cabin in Boardman Park, near the kids playground. Take your favorite casserole or dessert and table service. Beverages and the main course will be provided.

YSU Freetimers will meet for the monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana. All retirees are invited.
