Light up the night, road to recovery events set in Poland

The 2013 Poland Relay for Life, scheduled for 6 p.m. July 12 to 6 p.m. July 13 at Poland Seminary High School, 3199 Dobbins Road, is asking area police, fire and emergency crews to “light up the night” at midnight July 12 to bring awareness to the American Cancer Society’s fight to end cancer.

Prizes will be awarded.

On July 13, ACS’s “Road to Recovery” program, which offers free transportation to cancer patients for medical appointments and treatments, will be highlighted; and at 1 p.m. that day, Relay for Life team members will showcase their handcrafted cars in a race around the track.
