John and Theresa Berg of Poland are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kristina M. Berg, and Ryan W. Ebner, both of Gibsonia, Pa.

Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Ebner are the parents of the future groom.

The couple are planning an open ceremony at 3 p.m. Sept. 27 at Holy Family Church. Invitations will be extended for a reception that will follow at the Maronite Center, Youngstown.

The bride-elect earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in special education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She is a special education teacher at Allegheny Intermediate Unit, Glenshaw, Pa.

Her fiancé is a driver for United Parcel Service, Pittsburgh.
