Easter Seals group adds new top Angel

Angels of Easter Seals has installed Kathy Carroll as president for the 2013-2014 term. Carroll, an active member since 2006, has participated in all the organization’s fundraisers.

The new Angels executive board comprises Lynn Sahli, first vice president; Debbie Wilson, second vice president; Lynn Mitchell, treasurer; Pattie Ceglie, recording secretary; Bethann Zoldan, corresponding secretary; and Joan Zarlenga, past president.

The new president is a full-time Realtor for Northwood Realty Services. She led the Youngstown Columbiana Association of Realtors in 2008, the same year she received the honor of YCAR Realtor of the year. From 2002-2011, Carroll served on YCAR’s board of directors.

Carroll, a past Athena Award nominee, is a member of the Leadership Mahoning Valley Class of 2006. She holds a commercial pilot’s license and is a flight instructor.

Carroll and her husband, Ron, live in Austintown and are members of St. Michael Church in Canfield. She has three stepchildren and seven grandchildren.

Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon, May 8, 2014.

For 36 years Angels of Easter Seals has been raising funds, providing more than $2 million to the local Easter Seals chapter. In 2012 alone, Angels raised $91,000, which helped local residents with disabilities and other special needs.
