Prima Health Care’s real-estate company has bought the 2.5-acre parcel next to its Columbiana facility, which is at 107 Royal Birkdale Drive.

“We have no immediate plans for expansion,” Nick DeMaiolo, Prima spokesman, said in a press release, “but this transaction will afford us the flexibility to expand and grow our Columbiana campus as the need arises.”

The addition provides Prima with double the space in Columbiana.

The Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership will have an informational session from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday about their Workforce Development Program at its office at 1325 Fifth Ave.

The program is for adults 18 and older who are seeking employment but lack the skills employers desire. The six-week class teaches participants a variety of skills such as computer instruction, employment-search assistance and competencies that employers request.

Those interested must attend the informational session and should arrive on time. Space is limited.
