The 91st annual camp meeting services on the Tri-State Free Methodist Campground, 1027 Anderson Boulevard, will be from July 11-21 and are open to the public.

Pastor Jake Huffman of Villa Heights Baptist Church in Roanoke, Va., is this year’s evangelist. He began his ministry as a missionary in Africa, where he coached basketball at the University of Zambia for two years.

During family camp 2013, Pastor Jake will offer a series of messages taken from the book of Daniel in the Bible called “Prophecy: Living a Holy Life in a Corrupted World.”

Evening services begin at 7 p.m. Casual, but respectful, dress is appropriate.

Call 2 Fall

Cortland Trinity Baptist Church , 2576 McCleary Jacoby Road, will participate in Call 2 Fall during worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Call 2 Fall comes from 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

The Society of St. John Chrysostom, Youngstown-Warren Chapter, will present “Divine Destiny: Your Place in The Family of God” at 7 p.m. July 9 at St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave.

Guest speaker will be Matthew Leonard, author and executive director of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology in Steubenville.

The society is an ecumenical organization of Catholic and Orthodox clergy and laity.

Centenary United Methodist Church, 1413 Belmont Ave., will host a family and friends day at the 9 a.m. July 7 worship.

Elder Darren Thomas, founding pastor of the nondenominational Rebirth Worship Center in Columbus, will be guest preacher. He formerly served as Centenary’s praise and worship director.

Pastor Thomas, a Youngstown native, has ministered throughout the United States and internationally. He authored “When Zion Sings!” and “Look Again: Matters of Perception.” He has written two oratorios, “Forgiven” and “Rapture.”

He is founder and director of Symphonic Art Inc., a nonprofit music arts organization established in 1997.

Annual event set

Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 505 Park-cliffe Ave., will have its annual men and women’s day at its 11 a.m. worship service July 7. Special guests will include national Gospel recording artist Aletta Henderson of Detroit. An actress and songwriter, she released her first album, “Power,” in 2005. She has recently released her latest project and the preview single, ‘‘You’re The One.”
