Series of outdoor movies returns to Covelli Centre

YOUNGSTOWN

The city of Youngstown’s free outdoor movie series will take place most Mondays on the lawn outside of Covelli Centre, downtown.

Bathroom facilities are provided at Covelli, and Golden String maintains a concession stand.

All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all movies are rated PG or PG-13.

Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. In case of rain, the movie will be shown the next day. Here is the schedule:

July 1: “Men in Black 3”

July 8: “Paranorman”

July 15: “Jack Reacher”

July 22: “The Lion King”

Aug. 5: “42” (The story of Jackie Robinson)

Aug. 12: “The Birds” (1963)

Aug. 19: “The Avengers”

Aug. 26: “Oz, the Great and Powerful”

Sept. 9: “Cinderella”
