Portion of Kirk Road will close for Austintown fireworks display

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning County Commissioners this morning approved the closing of Kirk Road between Turner Road and state Route 46 from 9:30 to 11 p.m. Wednesday for the Austintown Township Park fireworks display. They also approved the closing of Kennedy Road between Quarry Road and the Lowellville village line from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 16 and from 6 p.m. to midnight July 17-20 for the 118th annual Mount Carmel Celebration.

The commissioners also voted to advertise for bids for a safety upgrade to Crum Road in Austintown and a sidewalk improvement project on Liberty Street in Lowellville.
