Aerialist Nik Wallenda’s tightrope quarter-mile televised walk over a gorge near the Grand Canyon on Sunday was among the most highly viewed shows in the Discovery Channel’s history. The amazing stunt generated some amazing numbers:

v 13 million: the number of television viewers who tuned in.

v 1.3 million: The number of tweets sent Sunday, making it one of the top trending topics.

v 22: The number of minutes Wallenda needed to complete the walk.

v 2: The steel cable Wallenda walked across was 2 inches thick.

v 1,500: The number of feet the cable was suspended above a dry river bed.

“Big Brother” (8 p.m., CBS): TV’s tawdry experiment in voyeurism resumes when “Big Brother” assembles a new group of lab rats, er, contestants, to live and bicker under one roof. The reality series is celebrating its 15th season, if you can believe that.

Patriotic concert on pipe organ

NEW CASTLE, Pa.

An organ concert featuring patriotic music will take place at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Scottish Rite Cathedral, 110 E. Lincoln Ave., featuring organist Robert McConnell playing the cathedral’s 86-year-old pipe organ, which has about 6,000 pipes. Proceeds will be used to restore the organ. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door. Call 724-654-5800 for information.

Community band in holiday shows

The Canfield Community Concert Band will present a series of free outdoor concerts for the Fourth of July holiday:

July 2: Austintown Township Park, 7 p.m.

July 4: Firestone Park, Columbiana, 5:30 p.m.

July 12: Courthouse Square, Mercer, Pa., 7:30 p.m.

The band, under the direction of Brian Harris, will perform a variety of popular songs and marches with a patriotic theme. In honor of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War’s Battle of Gettysburg, the band will play a medley of songs from that era.

Founded in 1976, the Canfield Community Concert Band is a group of 50 volunteers. For information, go to canfieldccband.org.

Mumford and Sons at First Niagara

Mumford and Sons will come to First Niagara Pavilion near Burgettstown, Pa., Aug 29. Opening acts will be the Vaccines and Bear’s Den.

Quaker City Band presents concert

Salem Quaker City Band will perform a free concert of patriotic music at 6 p.m. Sunday at Waterworth Memorial Park.

Benjamin Ammon is the conductor. A teacher in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights schools, Ammon is principal tuba for W.D. Packard Concert Band.
