Arraignment set

YOUNGSTOWN

A July 2 arraignment date is been set for the man indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury in a 1974 Canfield Township triple homicide.

James Ferrara, 64, was indicted last week in the killings of Benjamin Marsh, 33, his wife, Marilyn, 32, and their 4-year-old daughter, Heather, inside their South Turner Road home on Dec. 14, 1974. The couple’s 1-year-old son, Christopher, was unharmed.

Ferrara is serving a long sentence in the Marion Correctional Institution for a double homicide in Worthington in March 1983. Detectives said last week they were able to link Marsh to the local slaying through fingerprints submitted to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification in 2009.
