The Vindicator

At the conclusion of each season during the high school academic year, The Vindicator honors the top performers in each sport.

The Mahoning Valley’s 2013 spring season concluded with state baseball and tennis tournament runs and state track meet appearances by local teams and individuals, respectively.

Those efforts, along with regular-season performances, were considered as sportswriters Joe Scalzo, Tom Williams, Bill Sullivan and Doug Chapin — along with Sports Editor Ed Puskas — chose the area’s top spring athetes.
