Lynn Kirk students in grades kindergarten through third participated in a field day May 16 during school hours.

The fun day offered 12 stations for the children to rotate through. Some of the stations included face painting, a bounce around and a photo booth.

Lynn Kirk’s field day was put on by second-grade teachers Kristin Havaich, Tami Franklin and Kim Miller. Teachers also had help from 35 parent volunteers the day of the event.

“Everyone wants to help out for fun day, so we had to have a drawing to pick which parents could come,” said Havaich.

PTA provided different colored shirts for the students in each grade to wear during field day.

“The kids look forward to this day. This is what they work toward,” said Havaich.

The students also played 24 different games ranging from musical chairs to obstacles courses.

“We really tried to change up the games this year,” said Havaich.

Field day marked the final fun day for Lynn Kirk Elementary.

“It’s bittersweet since it’s the last one we’ll ever have,” said Miller.
