Boy Scouts will sponsor Link’s Classic fundraiser

Greater Western Reserve Boy Scouts Council is sponsoring the Boy Scouts’ Link’s Classic benefit Monday at Trumbull Country Club, 600 Golf Drive NE.

Teams of foursomes will begin with lunch and registration at 11:30 a.m., and a one-flight shotgun start will kick off play at 1 p.m. with a best ball scramble.

Skill games will showcase individual golf talent.

Team prizes and an evening dinner at approximately 6:30 p.m. will complete the day. The time of dinner will depend on the weather and the number of teams.

The event sponsors are Greenwood Chevrolet, Covelli Enterprises and the United Way.

Greater Western Reserve Boy Scout Council serves families in Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Mahoning, Trumbull and the eastern portion of Portage counties.

This benefit will support 8,000 youth.
