Fitch basketball program to host golf outing

The Austintown Fitch boys basketball program will host a four-man scramble golf outing at the Olde Dutch Mill golf course July 27. Register by July 1 and receive nine free holes of golf. The cost is $65 per person and $260 per four-man team. The entry fee includes 18-hole greens fee, cart, food and beverages. Prizes for first and second place, longest drive and longest putt holes will be awarded, as well as a putting contest.

Fitch boys golf sign up

Any Fitch boy that wishes to try out for the varsity golf team, and is not already signed up, should contact Coach Ed Santor at 330-261-2217 or at fitchgolfcoach@yahoo.com as soon as possible.

Austintown resident sets record

Austintown native Ross Lenehan set a course record by eight seconds with a time of 15:30 at the IHM Festival 5K. For complete results go to www.ihmfestival5K.webs.com.

Benefit golf outing set

The Brett Wilcox benefit golf outing will be July 21 at Lakeside Golf Course. Shot gun start will begin at 9 a.m.

The cost is $65 per golfer or $250 for a foursome. Cost includes coffee and doughnuts at registration, lunch, dinner and drinks. Sponsorships are available for $100 for a hole sponsor or $350 for a gold sponsor.

First place will receive $400 and second place $200. In addition, there will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and a 50-inch TV raffle.
