Adult social groups will be offered


YOUNGSTOWN

Social Connections, a program created to provide opportunities to form friendships and talk about interests in a supportive atmosphere, will be offered by the Autism Society of Ohio, Mahoning Valley.

The program will take place the fourth Wednesday of each month beginning June 26 at the Autism Society of Ohio Family Resource Center, Ohio One Building, downtown.

The first session will begin at 5:30 p.m. for those 18 to 25, and the second session will begin at 7 p.m. for ages 26 and older. Men and women with moderate to high-functioning autism are invited.

The groups will be facilitated by Doug Blecher, founder of the Autism Personal Coach, who has worked with adults and children diagnosed with ASD for 11 years.

There will be a $25 annual fee.
