$50K reward offered in fatal Pa. market bank heist

WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) — Citizens Bank and Giant Eagle are teaming up to offer a $50,000 reward for the arrest and prosecution of a bank robber who fatally shot a supermarket customer after a western Pennsylvania heist.

Vincent Kelley, 46, of Washington, Pa., was shot by the robber whom Kelley chased to a getaway car after the robbery Sunday about 2:30 p.m.

It happened at a Citizens branch inside the supermarket in South Strabane Township where Kelley was shopping.

Police say the robber drove away in a compact, white sedan — possibly a Toyota Camry — after shooting Kelley, who had entered the back seat in an attempt to subdue the suspect.

The vehicle and the money are likely to be stained by red dye from an explosive pack a teller hid in the loot.
