Pregnant woman fatally shot in Dayton melee

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Police in Dayton say a pregnant woman was killed when people started firing shots during a large fight on the city’s southwest side.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of the Wednesday night shooting as 27-year-old Daylynn Foster. A relative told WHIO-TV that Foster was due to give birth any day.

Witnesses said the situation began when a group of women became involved in a large fight. Police broke up the fight once, but the women gathered again and began fighting.
