Mill Creek gets grants for new kids' play area

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mill Creek Park Foundation received grants from two local foundations that will benefit the new children’s play area under construction at the James L. Wick Jr. Recreation Area on Youngstown’s West Side.

Gifts of $25,000 each were received from the W. E. Bliss Foundation and the Frank & Pearl Gelbman Foundation, bringing the total raised for that project to slightly more than $100,000. Another $150,000 is still needed to complete the play area.
