2 fires on Lansdowne Boulevard Wednesday morning

Firefighters battled two blazes on the same East Side street Wednesday morning.
Crews were called about 2:15 a.m. to 1703 Lansdowne Blvd. for a report of a vacant house fire. Damage there was listed at $10,000.
About 8:30 a.m., crews were called to 223 Lansdowne for a fire at an occupied home. A department spokesman said a fire started in the attic and appeared to be caused by an electrical malfunction.
The person inside managed to get out before firefighters arrived. Damage in that blaze is listed at $7,500. No one was injured in either fire.
