Female thief assaults Best Buy workers in Boardman

BOARDMAN

A woman stole two video games just before 4 p.m. Tuesday from Best Buy on U.S. Route 224 and assaulted two employees who confronted her on her way out, according to a report.

One of the male workers told police he saw the woman take two video games into the restroom.

He then sent two female employees in to confront her, but she ran past them.

When the worker and another male employee confronted the woman at the door, she proceeded to elbow both of them in the abdomen and ran out.

Video surveillance showed she was picked up by a blue Chevrolet Silverado that fled toward South Avenue.

The investigation continues.
