Sweeney will host pet adoption event

Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC announces its first Adopt-A-Palooza, which will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the dealership, 8010 Market Street. The pet-adoption event is free.

Sweeney will host six adoption groups from all over the Valley. They will take adoptable dogs and cats for potential guardians to look over.

The event also will feature demonstrations on canine obedience, tricks and agility. Boardman Police Department will present a K9 demonstration, and food, pet merchandise and prizes provided by local vendors will be featured.
