Celebrate Poland Craft Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 29 during the Celebrate Poland weekend. Artists, craftsmen and nonprofit groups are being sought for the outdoor event. The cost for a 10-by-5-foot space is $30. For information call Barbara Banks at 330-757-4584.

FUNDRAISERS

In memory of Cory Lunger, originally of Columbiana, his family has organized a bicycle poker run Sunday at the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail to raise money for cancer research. Riders can register any time between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., starting and finishing at the Lisbon or Leetonia trailhead. The fundraiser is part of Pelotonia, a grass-roots bike tour that supports the fight against cancer. It will benefit Ohio State University’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard Solove Research Institute in Columbus. Lunger was treated there during his five-year battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, which he lost in March. In his honor, a team (or peloton) of friends and family will ride under the name CLunger for a Cure. Participants can play as many hands as they like; a full trail ride is worth two hands, or the cost is $5 per hand. All ages are welcome. Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield, is having its 4th annual Car Trunk and Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 27. Vendors can reserve two outdoor parking spaces for $25 or an indoor space with one 8-foot table with two chairs for $35 in the center’s auditorium. Those outside can either park and sell from their vehicles or park elsewhere and use both spaces from which to sell. Registration goes up $5 after July 15. The Ursuline Sisters will be selling used furniture and books, and the Ursuline Center volunteer chefs, The Leftovers, will sell finger foods. The event will take place rain or shine; there are no refunds. Proceeds will benefit the ministries of the Ursuline Center. Registration forms are available at www.theursulinecenter.org. SALES

Hubbard Conservation Club, 1760 Wick-Campbell Road, is sponsoring its annual garage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Donated goods are being accepted through Wednesday. Baked goods also will be available. Admission is free. This fundraiser will benefit Hubbard community and youth educational programs.

Junior Women’s League of Canfield is recruiting vendors for the 44th annual Fall Market on the Canfield Village Green scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 21. Vendors may range from home-based businesses to arts and crafts merchandise to nonprofit organizations. Proceeds will benefit the community. For information call 330-506-4347.

Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 942 Grandview Road, will have its annual chicken barbecue and yard sale Saturday. The yard sale will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the barbecue will be served from noon to 6 p.m. The menu comprises half a chicken (plain or barbecue), parsley potatoes, a choice of side dishes, roll and butter, homemade dessert and beverage. Petey’s Pals, 1829 Wingate Road, Poland, will have its second annual benefit garage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. All prices will be half off Sunday. Donations will be accepted by calling 330-398-9551; pickups can be arranged for large truckloads. No clothes or TV’s will be accepted. All proceeds will benefit the pit bulls of the Mahoning County Dog Pound.

Jesus “The Key” Ministry is sponsoring the following trips to raise money to send inner-city children to camp: Thursday, Hartville, Ohio, with a pontoon boat ride, flea market, McKinley Memorial and lunch at Hartville Kitchen; July 30 and 31, Lancaster, Pa., including Kitchen Kettle, Sugar Maple Restaurant, “Noah” show and tour of Gettysburg battlefield; and Aug. 6, Niagara Falls, for a boat ride in the gorge, a stop at Fort Niagara and dinner on your own at Cracker Barrel.
