Man gets prison in pot heist that that injured Pa. officer

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Pittsburgh man will spend up to 14 years in prison for seriously injuring a city officer, who has yet to return to work since trying to stop a robbery at a flea market that authorities said doubled as a marijuana-packaging operation.

Aaron Farrow, 27, apologized to the officer, 31-year-old Colleen Bristow, before he was sentenced today to six years, eight months to 14 years in prison.

Farrow is one of four men prosecuted for robbing The Swap Meet on Sept. 15, 2010.

Bristow was standing inside the open door of a van Farrow was driving — trying to thwart his getaway — when Farrow backed up knocking her to the ground.

Bristow says she still suffers from debilitating migraine headaches after suffering skull and facial fractures, a concussion, and back injuries.
