Fundraising luau for Mill Creek's Lily Pond is Saturday

These roads in Mill Creek Park will be affected from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday for a Luau at the Lily Pond fundraising event: Lily Pond Drive at McCollum Road, West Drive at Bears Den and Cohasset, and West Drive at Glacier.

The Lily Pond site also will be closed to the public beginning at noon for event setup.

Reservations are still being accepted for the luau. Cost is $50 per person, which includes a Hawaiian-themed buffet and cash bar. Entertainment will be provided by The Calypso Gypsies, a steel drum band, and silent and basket auctions will be offered.

Information on participating in the restoration of the Lily Pond, the oldest manmade body of water in Mill Creek Park, also will be on display.

Luau proceeds will be used for restoration efforts at the Lily Pond.
