Sofia Durina will compete in pageant

Sofia Durina, 13, daughter of Lori Delserone of Columbiana and Kevin Durina of Boardman, has been chosen as a state finalist in her age group in the National American Miss pageant, which will take place June 30 and July 1 at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus.

As well as a cash award, the winner will receive a crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California.

Sofia’s activities include volleyball, track, basketball, soccer, honor roll and volunteer work with food pantries and autistic children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
